We are all under construction… all of the time

Piece are added and pieces fall out. Self actualization comes when all the pieces are present and in the correct places. We may never “arrive” but we should be happy with the movement. Another mantra:

“Progress, not perfection”

No pun intended with the title of this piece, though it is true… it is not yet finished. This is a 30% scale nude that may always be a work in progress. She started in a group sculpting session at Terry Lee Studios where we had a wide focus learning about armatures, types of clay, figure planes, textures, anatomy. Though she is currently a more classical figure, she will ultimately resolve to a more abstract work. As you can tell, she is far from complete but she will improve as my skills improve… I also am a work in progress.
